Batik Workshop: Create Your First Silk Artwork
The Experience
In this hands-on workshop, you'll create your own piece on a 25 cm round silk frame while learning, step by step, how to apply hot wax, blend colours, and bring your design to life. Discover batik, an ancient textile art that uses hot wax and dyes to create unique designs on natural silk. No previous experience is required—just curiosity and a desire to enjoy the creative process. All materials are included, and you'll take home your one-of-a-kind silk creation at the end of the workshop.
starImportant information
We recommend wearing clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, although aprons are also available at the workshop. If you already have an idea or design you'd like to create, feel free to bring it with you. We'll take a look at it together and help you adapt it to your piece.
